I want to know if you can see Beauty
even when it is not pretty
every day.
And if you can source your own life
from its presence.

Those that I guard I do not love.

Khonek dekha by Rabindranath Tagor

Two Days We Should Not Worry

(Author Unknown)

There are two days in every week about which we should not worry, two days which should be kept free from fear and apprehension.

One of these days is Yesterday with all its mistakes and cares,
its faults and blunders, its aches and pains.

Yesterday has passed forever beyond our control.
All the money in the world cannot bring back Yesterday.

We cannot undo a single act we performed;
we cannot erase a single word we said.
Yesterday is gone forever.

The other day we should not worry about is Tomorrow
with all its possible adversities, its burdens,
its large promise and its poor performance;
Tomorrow is also beyond our immediate control.

Tomorrow's sun will rise,
either in splendor or behind a mask of clouds, but it will rise.
Until it does, we have no stake in Tomorrow,
for it is yet to be born.

This leaves only one day, Today.
Any person can fight the battle of just one day.
It is when you and I add the burdens of those two awful eternities Yesterday and Tomorrow that we break down.

It is not the experience of Today that drives a person mad,
it is the remorse or bitterness of something which happened Yesterday and the dread of what Tomorrow may bring.

Let us, therefore, Live but one day at a time.

with your feet in the air
and your head on the ground
try this trick & spin it ... ... ...
your head will collapse
if theres nothing in it
you will ask yourself where is my mind?

In Love, if Love be Love, if Love be ours,
Faith and unfaith can ne'er be equal powers:
Unfaith in aught is want of faith in all.

"It is the little rift within the lute,
That by and by will make the music mute,
And ever widening slowly silence all.

"The little rift within the lover's lute
Or little pitted speck in garnered fruit,
That rotting inward slowly moulders all.

"It is not worth the keeping: let it go:
But shall it? answer, darling, answer, no.
And trust me not at all or all in all."

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)

The Scarlet Tide

Well I recall his parting words

Must I accept his fate?

Or take myself far from this place

I thought I heard a black bell toll

A little bird did sing

"Man has no choice

When he wants everything."

We`ll rise above the scarlet tide

That trickles down through the mountain

And separates the widow from the bride

Man goes beyond his own decision

Gets caught up in the mechanism

Of swindlers who act like kings

And brokers who break everything

The dark of night was swiftly fading

Close to the dawn of day

Why would I want him just to lose him again?

We`ll rise above the scarlet tide

That trickles down through the mountain

And separates the widow from the bride

We`ll rise above the scarlet tide

That trickles down through the mountain

And separates the widow from the bride

I haven't read many poems ,
I was interested in poetry during my 12th grade exam.
After the worst physics exam in 12th grade i felt soooo sad, i cried and didn't know what should I do. To overcome that sadness i started reading poems.

The first poem i've read, for my own interest not for bangla exams, was "Kobi" by, ofcourse, Rabindranath Tagore,
i was so moved by the poem that time, i really can't express that feelings to u with my limited word stock in english though :P

Exams ar really turning points of my life, i guess. because every hobby of mine begins from any of exam. i began to watch movies during 2-2's exam , started buying trees from 2-1's exam ,started buying bangles from 1-2's exam .....

Ok then, actually i wanted to share an amazing poem with u .i've heard it in the movie "The man without a face " & then collect the full version from net.
Here is it -

Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth,
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;

Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds...and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of...wheeled and soared and swung

High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there,
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up, the long, delirious burning blue
I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, nor even eagle flew.

And while with silent, lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space...
...put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

- High Flight
by John Gillespie Magee, Jr.

here is sth abt the poet which ,i think, not less amazing ...

John Gillespie Magee, Jr. Pilot Officer Magee joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in October 1940, at age 18. He went to England to fly Spitfires. After qualifying, he was piloting one on a test flight into the stratosphere at 30,000 feet when he got the inspiration for "High Flight." Magee was killed in action during a dogfight December 11, 1941, at age 19.

ScriBbles

I'm Standing on a bridge
I'm waitin in the dark
I thought that you'd be here by now
Theres nothing but the rain
No footsteps on the ground
I'm listening but theres no sound

Isn't anyone tryin to find me?
Won't someone please take me home
It's a damn cold night
Trying to figure out this life
Wont you take me by the hand
take me somewhere new
I dont know who you are
but I'm, I'm with you

im looking for a place
searching for a face
is there anybody here i know
cause nothings going right
and everythigns a mess
and no one likes to be alone

Isn't anyone tryin to find me?
Won't someone please take me home
It's a damn cold night
Trying to figure out this life
Wont you take me by the hand
take me somewhere new
I dont know who you are
but I'm, I'm with you

oh why is everything so confusing
maybe I'm just out of my mind

Isn't anyone tryin to find me?
Won't someone please take me home
It's a damn cold night
Trying to figure out this life
Wont you take me by the hand
take me somewhere new
I dont know who you are
but I'm, I'm with No One
